Description

CHASTE TREE BERRY

The berries of this shrub or small tree, growing wild and cultivated as an ornamental around the Mediterranean sea, are used for relief of premenstrual symptoms, excessive bleeding, fibroid tumors due to hormonal imbalance; to start the normal menstrual cycle again after discontinuing birth control tablets, for the flow of milk in nursing mothers and for menopausal torments.

Additionally, the berries have been used, since ancient Greek times, to quiet sexual appetites. It is this diversity of function that leads to the conclusion that Chaste Tree Berries must act as an adaptogen, that is to say, function in several discretionary ways depending on what is found and needed, interacting with the internal physical and emotional environment of the person. Otherwise, herbalists could not recommend, with success, Chaste Tree Berries, for such diverse and apparently conflicting reasons [what is needed during menopause is not what is needed for premenstrual symptoms, nor what is needed to quiet sexual desire].

Recent clinical experience from Germany indicates Chaste Tree Berries do indeed cause the production or reduction of any of several female hormones, depending on what is needed and what must be balanced out to promote proper function and comfort.

Dose
|  40 to 80 drops 1 to 3 times per day. Additionally, apply similar amounts externally to the lower abdomen and or breasts.
