YARROW

The honorable Greek hero of legend, Achilles, said the juice from fresh Yarrow put into the eye will take away redness. The American Indian knew Yarrow as a swift remedy for the rundown feeling and indigestion. He further used Yarrow as a remedy for increasing the urinary flow from the kidneys.

Although sweating has become socially unacceptable, it is essential to the health of skin. For those able, sauna and exercise are recommended. Yarrow settles nerves and thus reduces high blood pressure, It relieves shortness of breath and wasting of spinal marrow. Its list of successes is legion.

Beneficial results in this partial list confirm its revered  status among herbalists: childhood diseases, including infant diarrhea, uterus problems, Bright's disease [egg white material in the urine], gas, piles, sore nipples, fistulas, flu and hair loss.

Yarrow may be taken for involuntary loss of urine, bed wetting, spitting up of blood, as a nervine and as a remedy for common colds and high blood sugar.

Last year my daughter, age 30, was very sick with a fever, swollen and aching joints. She said she felt like she was losing her mind.

After a week of thinking it was a virus she went to the doctor. He ran numerous tests/blood work; his diagnosis was Lyme’s disease.

He started her on antibiotics. She was to finish the antibiotic and return in three months and then in six months for test to make sure the disease was not lurking dormant in her system.

The next day she had broke out in a rash/itching and miserable [allergic reaction].

The doctor said to discontinue the antibiotics and he would call in something else. He checked but the only other antibiotic that would help her she was allergic to as well.

I took her to see a gentleman that has worked with an Amish doctor for years and he said she needed Yarrow.

She took it as directed and recovered well. She took two 4 ounce bottles. When she went back to the doctor for her three month test it came back negative.

Thank God for herbs and for the people who know how to use them because there were NO drugs that she could take for
this.
